Carol has been my tritiation nurse prescriber for ADHD medication and she has been so helpful and caring throughout. I’m at the end of my tritiation now and it has been great to have her to ask about any concerns I have had and to help me find the right dose and medication to suit me.

Carol helped me through my titration process. She explained all information sufficiently and was very knowledgeable. She was patient and understanding when I wanted to remain on the current dosage for longer to continue seeing the effects. When I believed the dosage was to high, she give me the right advice on how to correct this. I would like to thank Carol for her support on my journey to getting getting the right help.

Carol has been so helpful all throughout my journey with ADHD medication and titration. She was understanding to my needs and circumstances, patient, attentive and always kind and helpful. All throughout the process she had answers and suggestions for me, especially at times when I was struggling. You could not ask for a kinder, more compassionate nurse and I would highly recommend her to anyone beginning their journey with ADHD.

My experience of Carol as my titration nurse is that she is always prompt with support & replies, attentive to any concerns I’ve had & patient with me as I consider options. She took great care to consider my overall wellbeing when evaluating side effects of medication, and was also knowledgable of my obscure co-morbid physical health condition. I would recommend Carol to everyone, you are in safe & compassionate hands with her. Thanks Carol!

I found the whole titration process for ADHD medication managed by Carol to be incredibly smooth - much more than I could have anticipated. Carol was very efficient and prompt every step of the way. When the medication itself became difficult, Carol was very understanding and quick to find a solution.

Profile

I am a registered nurse prescriber. I started my journey as a mental health nurse by completing the recognised nursing course in the UK. Since qualifying as a nurse in 2011, I have worked in acute inpatient and community settings. I have helped pioneered the start of an NHS Adult ADHD service in 2011 and developed the service together with a Consultant Psychiatrist and provided a nurse led service for adults. Since 2011, I have participated in training conferences to help train other clinicians who were planning to start an adult ADHD service in their locality or those who have just started working in an adult ADHD service. I have given talks about the nurse led Adult ADHD service that I have helped pioneered in conferences/training sessions.

I was voted Clinician of The Year in 2017 in the NHS Trust I was working with, and this reflects my dedication and commitment to continue to develop my nursing practice and deliver the best nursing intervention to those in need.
